At its IFA 2016 press event, Acer showcased an array of its new Windows 10 notebooks namely the Predator 21 X, Acer Swift 7 and Acer Spin 7.
Acer Predator 21 X :
This is the first gaming laptop with a 21-inch curved screen display with a resolution of 2560 x 1080. Its dual Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs support G-Sync technology. The CPU consists of the latest 7th-gen Intel Core K-series. It comes with an internal space of upto 64GB of DD4 RAM and four terabytes of SSD storage. The ED RGB mechanical keyboard comes with CherryMX switches and a SoundPound2+ sound system of 4 speakers and 2 subwoofers. The numpad can be flipped over to a touchpad. It also includes a total of 5 cooling fans. Weighing 8 kg, this laptop with a curved screen display is for serious gamers who like their games even on the move.
Each piece of the Acer Predator 21 X will be made to order and the shipping would start in January, 2017. The pricing has not been disclosed as yet.
Acer Swift 7 :
A complete opposite of the Predator 21 X, the Acer Swift 7 weighs just 1.12kg and is a mere 0.99cm thick.
It sports a 13.3" IPS2 display with Gorilla Glass and a micro-bezel design with a resolution of 1080pixels. The CPU consists of a 7th-gen Intel Core i5 processor with upto 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. The notebook would also have two USB 3.1 Type-C ports and a headphone jack. Its battery can last up to 9 hours on a single charge.
The Acer Swift 7 will be shipped in North America in October with prices starting at $999 and in EMEA in October with prices starting at €1,299.
Acer Spin 7 :
Acer advertises the Acer Spin 7 as "thinner than a standard DVD case" as it is just 1.09cm thick but not as light as the Swift 7. Acer Spin 7 weighs 1.17kg.
It has an aluminium unibody which features a 14-inch 1080p IPS touch display protected with Gorilla Glass on top. The display can be flipped to become a tablet too.
The Acer Spin 7 will be out for sale in North America in October with prices starting at $1,199, and in EMEA in October with prices starting at €1,299.
