The latest M series Gionee smartphone Gionee M2017 is announced in China. The most striking feature of the smartphone is its 7000mAh polymer lithium-ion battery with its own intelligent power management system and low power consumption display, which promises up to 25 hours of continuous video playback and 915.42 hours of standby. It has support for 24W Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and dual fast charging chip.
The M2017 is a dual SIM smartphone with a metal frame and a leather back. The fingerprint sensor is on the front of the device. It features a 5.7-inch (2560 × 1440 pixels) Quad HD AMOLED curved glass display with sapphire glass protection. It is powered by Octa Core Snapdragon 653 processor (Quad 1.95GHz ARM Cortex A72 + Quad 1.44GHz A53 CPUs) with Adreno 510 GPU and a 6GB RAM with an internal memory of 128GB and 256GB.
The M2017 has a dual rear camera with a 12MP and 13MP sensor with LED flash and an 8MP front camera offering 2x optical zoom. The dimension of the device are 155.2×77.6×10.78mm and it weighs 238 grams.
On connectivity front, the device has 4GLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG, USB 2.0 Type-C.

The Gionee M2017 is available in two colour variants - Gold and Black. It is priced at 6,999 yuan (US$ 1007 / Rs. 68240 approx.) for the standard version, while the exclusive version with Italian custom alligator leather back costs 16,999 yuan (US$ 2446 / Rs. 1,65,740 approx.).
