Google Sends Invites To Unveil The New Nexus SmartPhones - Pixel and Pixel XL

Finally, the rumours of Google coming out with its next-gen smartphones can be put to rest. The tech-giant, recently sent out invites for the launch of its new Nexus smartphones namely Pixel and Pixel XL.

Here are the rumoured specs of the two smartphones,

The Google (HTC) Pixel would most likely sport a 5-inch display screen with a resolution of 1920x 1080 pixel. It would have a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 / 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB of RAM and an internal storage of 32GB. It would run on the latest version of Android 7.1 (Nougat). On the camera front, the device would sport a 12MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front camera. On the connectivity front, it would include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and USB Type-C. Powered by a 2,770mAh battery the device would also include a rear mounted fingerprint scanner and bottom firing speakers.

On the other hand, the Google (HTC) Pixel XL would sport a 5.5-inch AMOLED display screen with a resolution 2560×1440 pixels, a Quad-Core Snapdragon 820 / 821 processor with Adreno 530 GPU, a 4GB RAM and two versions of internal storage - 32GB and 128GB. It will run on Android 7.1 (Nougat). the Pixel XL would also inlude a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and bottom-firing speakers. On the connectivity front, it would have 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4/5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, USB Type-C. The device would sport a 12MP rear camera with LED flash and a 8MP front camera. It will be powered by a 3450mAh battery.

The Google event takes place on Tuesday,October 4, 2106 in San Francisco at 9AM PDT (9 30 PM IST). The company has also put up October 5 as the official date for launching the phones in India with a possibility of it being unveiled in other countries the next day. It is still unclear whether a separate event would be held for the launch in these countries. The event would be uploaded live on YouTube and the details of the same would be out for reading in a couple of weeks.
