Users of Google Pixel smartphones had been complaining about a bug which was causing the devices to shut down abruptly. To solve this, Google released the Android 7.1.2 update, the beta program which has been out for the past 3 months.
The abrupt shutdown of some Pixel phones was due to a problem with the battery meter wherein although there may be no power left in the device, the meter may show otherwise.
With the release of the new update, the problem is solved and users have taken to the social media to report the same.
However, the number of reports is still too small to confirm that the bugs are gone for good or not.
