American tech giant HP has launched the "HP Spectre 13" in India. The laptop was first unveiled back in April. The company claims that the laptop is the thinnest in the world. It's thickness is 10.4mm which makes it thinner than the the 12-inch MacBook as well as the 13-inch MacBook Air.
The HP Spectre 13 weighs 1.11kg, which is heavier than the MacBook at 0.92kg, but lighter than the 13-inch MacBook Air at 1.35kg.
Along with the sleek and light-weight body, the HP Spectre 13 is the first to sport its new logo for the premium range.
Speaking about the HP Spectre 13, Rajiv Srivastava, Managing Director, HP India said, "HP as India's technology leader aims to make life better, productive and more fun. We are at the forefront of delivering industry-leading innovation and HP's Spectre 13 is a beautifully crafted Notebook and a reflection of what many millennials aspire to be --- exceptional, cool, dazzling, standing out from the crowd, but making an impact."
The firm has used carbon fibre and aluminium for lightweight and durability. The HP Spectre 13 has a two-tone finish with a copper-coloured spine.
The Spectre 13 sports a 13.3-inch full-HD WLED-backlit IPS display that's complete with a 0.4mm Corning Gorilla Glass 4 layer.It also bears a full-sized island-style backlit keyboard. On either side, there are dual HP speakers powered by Bang & Olufsen audio. It comes with three USB Type-C ports.
It is loaded with 64-bit Windows 10, with a choice of Intel's 6th generation Core i5 or Core i7 processors with Intel HD Graphics, SSD storage up to 512GB, and 8GB of LPDDR3-1866MHz RAM as standard.
The 4-cell 38Whr Li-ion battery inside the device can keep the laptop running for 9.5 hours on a single charge.
The starting price of the laptop in India is Rs. 1,19,990 and will go on sale from Saturday.
