Huawei is all set to launch its new device the Honor 8 to the Indian market on October 12. The press invites for the launch event are out.
The Honor 8 features a 5.2-inch dispaly screen with a resolution of 1080 pixels, a high-performance HiSilicon Kirin 950 CPU paired with 4GB of RAM, much similar in performance to the Snapdragon 810 and runs much cooler than both the Snapdragon 810 and 820. It comes with a 32GB of internal memory which is expandable via microSD card and comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box, with EMUI 4.1.
The main and the most talked about feature of the Honor 8 is its dual-12MP rear cameras. One sensor is color and the other is monochrome. Using two sensors allows better photos by exposing all areas correctly. There is a fingerprint scanner at the back which doubles as a shortcut button that allows you to program different functions and apps.
The phone is quick to respond and has a long battery life with just one drawback - the screen does not show well in bright sunlight.
The US and European versions of the Honor 8 will have only the single nanoSIM variant whereas in India, the dualSIM variant via a hybrid tray is expected. Details about the pricing and availability are not out as yet and can be expected during the Honor launch event.
