Chinese tech brand Xiaomi is known to offer hi-end specs for a comparatively lesser price. this holds true for its latest product Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air. Weighing about 1.28 kg and at a cost of CNY 4,999 (approx INR 51,400) the gadget is said to be quite a steal.
But looks like another gadget giant is ready to give Xiaomi some pretty tough competition.
Lenovo has announed its Air 13 Pro laptop which has specs similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air.
It is already available for pre-registration for a price of CNY 4,999 (approx INR 51,400). Lenovo's laptop is 1.48cm thin and comes with a 13.3-inch IPS display and an Intel i5-6200U processor. Weighing approx 1.29 kg, it has a 256GB of SSD storage and 4GB RAM. It also features a 2GB NVIDIA GT940MX graphics card.
One additional feature that the Lenovo laptop has is a fingerprint recognition which is missing in the Xiaomi counterpart. This could help Lenovo have an edge over Xiaomi.
On the other hand, Xiaomi laptop comes with an ability to unlock via the Mi Band 2 enabled by the laptop's Bluetooth v4.1 connectivity.
Also keep in mind that the price of the Lenovo laptop is just for the pre-registration period. As per reports, the selling price would increase to CNY 5,499 (approx INR 55,400)
Taking all this into consideration, which one would you choose? Lenovo or Xiaomi.
