Apple is all set to release the new 13-inch and 15-inch Macbook Pro at an event on October 27th.
But as per reports from Japanese publisher Macotakara (yes, the same one who predicted the absence of the headphone jack in the iPhone 7), the US giant is planning to do away with the USB port, MagSafe 2, Thunderbolt 2 ports. Reports also hinted that much like the iPhone 7, the new Macbook Pros may not have the headphone jack. Additionally, the 11-inch Macbook Pro too will no longer be available.
The USB and its Megsafe connector, will be replaced with USB-C support and Thunderbolt 3.The USB Type-C plug is reversible so users can plug in their gadgets for charging in any direction.
Apple does sell its own USB Type-C dock with ports for USB 3.0, USB-C for charging as well as HDMI at a price of $79 which is a bit pricey.
