Oculus Announces Oculus Touch Controllers And Oculus Earphones

Oculus VR, LLC, or simply known as Oculus, is an American virtual reality technology company. At its third annual Oculus Connect developer conference, the company has announced Touch Controllers and Earphones.

The Touch controllers will come with an additional sensor and a connector for Rock Band VR. All pre-orders will come with two free games - VR Sports and The Unspoken whereas dozens of new titles that will be available at launch for the controllers.

The Oculus Earphones for Rift (virtual reality headset) offer a solid bass along with excellent mid/high levels for a well-balanced sound. They also include passive noise isolation to help block out distractions.

The Touch controllers are priced at $199 and the Touch Earphones are priced at $49. Both the accessories will be shipped from December 6 onwards while the pre-orders will start from October 10.

In addition to the forementioned hardware accessories, the US based company has also unveiled Oculus Avatars, a platform that lets the users customize their VR identity from more than one billion options available. These Avatars will be available for Rift at Touch launch and for mobiles in early 2017.

Also, Oculus has introduced Oculus Parties, which lets you start a voice call with up to eight people from anywhere in VR. Lastly, Oculus Rooms lets you instantly meet up with your friends in VR to just meet up or watch movies or launch the same app simultaneously. Both Parties and Rooms will ship for Gear VR in the coming weeks after the Rift launch which is to be in early 2017.
