Since the entry of Reliance Jio in the Telecomm market in September 2016, the other telecomm companies are having a tough time to compete with the tariff plans provided by the Mukesh Ambani led company. Up until March 2017, the Reliance Jio plans provided free 4G services to its users.
Since April 1, 2017, Jio has been charging its customers for the services it provides. Reliance has introduced two new prepaid plans at Rs. 309 and Rs. 509 under its Jio Dhan Dhana Dhan offer which provides unlimited calls, 1GB data & 2GB data per day respectively for 84 days.
To add icing to the cake, TRAI has approved the telecom operator’s requests to offer yearly plans too. Based on this, Jio has introduced a Rs. 9,999 plan under the user can avail 810GB of 4G data with a validity period of 420 days (14 months). However, these benefits are for Jio Prime members only. Non Jio Prime members will get 750GB data valid for 360 days( 12 months).
Additionally, this plan has no daily FUP limit, which is an added advantage. After the quota of 810GB data, download speed will be reduced to 128 Kbps. however,if you wish to enjoy unlimited data even after the expiry of allocated data, you can recharge with the data boosters available.
Other than the Rs. 9,999 plan, Jio also providing another long validity plan of Rs. 4,999 that gives 410GB of 4G data for Jio Prime members valid for 240 days, whereas non Jio Prime members get 350GB of 4G data for 180 days.
If you compare these rates with the other mobile service providers in the country, no other telecom operator is providing such benefits for existing or new users. All the operators have yearly plans such as Rs. 1499, which when recharged give 10GB data and later on, monthly data recharge prices will be reduced based on 1GB data at Rs. 51 and 5GB data at Rs. 251 and so on. With such competetive rates, Jio surely has a great many number of Jio users which definitely would be giving sleppless nights to all the other rival telecomm companies.
