Xiaomi is all set to launch its next flagship, the Redmi 4 on November 4. Xiaomi has posted a teaser poster on its Weibo account, which confirms the launch of the smartphone on November 4. It has received China’s TENAA certification recently which revealed the design and specifications of the smartphone. It is likely to come in black color with a 2.5D curved glass display with thin bezels, metal frame and antenna bands. The right side of the smartphone has the volume and power button whereas the SIM slot is located on the left side.
If reports are to be believed, the Chinese phonemaker is also coming out with the Redmi 4A which is a more affordable version of the Redmi 4.
As per reports so far, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 will feature a 5-inch full HD (1080p) display and MediaTek’s Helio X20 deca-core chipset, powered by a Snapdragon 625 processor and a 3GB of RAM. The smartphone will come have an internal storage of 32GB.
The Redmi 4 is said to sport a 13MP rear camera with PDAF support and LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera and will be powered with a 4,000mAh battery.
Reports suggest that the Redmi 4 could be priced at CNY 1,300, which is approximately Rs 12,900. Another report that claims the smartphone will be priced around CNY 699 (Rs 6,900 approximately).
On the other hand, the Redmi 4A is believed to come with 2GB of RAM and an internal memory of 16GB. It will be powered by a Quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP selfie camera. The smartphone can be equipped with a 3,030mAh battery. The connectivity options expected include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS and FM Radio. On the software front, the smartphone is expected to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
The rumors also suggest that the Xiaomi Redmi 4A will be launched in two variants — one with the option of expandable storage, and the other without.
However, there has bee no official confirmation of the launch of the 4A device, so we will have to wait till the actual release date of the Redmi 4 which is November 4.
