Chinese phone maker Xiaomi recently announced a new smartphone in India - Xiaomi Redmi 3S+. But unlke its previous devices, this device will be the first to be available at offline stores across India.
The Xiaomi Redmi 3S+ sports a 5-inch HD display using an Adreno 505 GPU. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz with 2GB RAM. The device has an internal storage of 32GB. It also comes with a packs a fingerprint sensor at the back and is powered by a high-density 4100mAh battery for extended usage. On the camera front, the smartphone is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF) technology and a 5MP front facing camera. It offers LTE and VoLTE enabled dual SIM support, while supporting both Micro and Nano SIMs, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, hotspot, 3.5mm headphone jack and micro-USB port options for connectivity.
Xiaomi Redmi 3S+ will not be sold using the usual online channels. Xiaomi has tied up with retail stores like Sangeetha, BIG C, LOT mobiles, Poorvika and distributors like Redington, Innocomm and Just Buy Live. The reason for taking this step is that the company wants to make its offline retail presence felt in India.
